Help Desk Technician

LOCATION: Parsippany, NJ

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and assessing software and hardware problems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• PC and laptop installation, configuration and maintenance
• Installation of PC operating systems (NT, 2000, XP, Vista)
• Knowledge of PC imagining/cloning software (Symantec)
• Knowledge of Spyware, Malware, and Virus removal
• Knowledge of MS Office suites and MS Business Applications (Office 2000, 2003, and 2007)
• General knowledge of help desk ticketing systems
• Creation and maintenance of Active Directory user accounts, including groups, security, and exchange accounts
• Identify, research, resolve, and document PC and software technical issues

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment
• Posses good verbal and written communication skills
• Team oriented
• Prior customer service experience in a technical environment is a plus
• Basic network topology knowledge required
• A+ certification is recommended but not required
