Senior Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities of this key position include: Leading all facets of client engagements and sales opportunities, which includes all of Telwares’ services and the services of Telwares’ contracted partners for the enterprise client. Key requirements encompass developing and implementing client engagement strategies, RFP or bid process management, data collection, analysis, client communications, and carrier negotiations, defining and managing all client and carrier communications to achieve maximum results in the most efficient means possible, and coordinating the detailed analysis of proposals and options with the project team, work with Consultants and senior staff members to present updated and amended strategies, identify and communicate gap to market recommendations and analyses to client executives, negotiate with telecom carrier and vendor personnel and executives on behalf of Telwares’ clients, initiate and close revenue generating opportunities via new or existing client relationships, and any associated fee collection activities. The Senior Consultant will also assist the sales staff in developing client relationships and the development of supporting analyses, proposals and contract documents for release to potential clients.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify new revenue generating opportunities within assigned active engagements as well as new accounts.
• Perform all aspects of project management from engagement kick off to billing and collecting of engagement fees.
• Perform detailed analysis of carrier proposals, contracts, amendments, etc.
• Develop and implement project strategies that will provide the best possible results for the client and Telwares, up to and including RFP process management. Strategies will be adjusted commensurate with the client situation and the market.
• Negotiate with key carrier and vendor personnel
• Develop and manage client and carrier communications on behalf of clients with adherence to Telwares policies and practices.
• Present recommended strategy and detailed analysis to client executives and schedule and perform "Executive Briefings" throughout the engagement and as events warrant.
• Prepare and host an "Engagement Debrief" meeting with the client after project completion with the primary focus on gaining input on improvement of the engagement process.
• Special projects will also be assigned by Regional GM/VP that will enhance the company’s databases, processes, services or deliverables.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10 years relevant work experience, five years minimum in the telecommunications industry with a local carrier long distance carrier, or a provider of telecom outsourcing services. Direct, major carrier (AT&T, Verizon Business, Qwest, Global Crossing, Sprint/Nextel, et al.) experience in Special Pricing/ Business Development role is a plus.
• Minimum three years experience in a pricing and direct contract negotiation role working with enterprise companies.
• Multi talented individual that can work both at the strategic/executive level and at the tactical/analyst level.
• Strong consulting, financial modeling, project management and writing skills.
• Expert knowledge in the details of telecom products, pricing, regulatory (tariff) and contracting processes.
• Superior verbal communication skills and presentation capabilities.
• Self-starter, ambitious over-achiever.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to travel regularly, as travel will be required in support of client deliverables.
