Telecom Analyst, Invoice Management Services

LOCATION: Pueblo, CO

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for managing telecommunication IMS services for customer accounts. This is accomplished in part by researching and resolving billing issues, processing payments on a timely basis and completing special projects. This position reports to the IMS operations manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Quality control on internal processes
•Select and process invoices for bill payment and process into batches for submittal to customer
•Track, file and transmit batch information to customers. This includes any pre-batch reports, batch reports and approvals that are required.
•Resolve inventory issues; add, delete or modify customer inventory elements (telecommunication). This includes adding, deleting or modifying customer GL coding associated with customer inventory elements.
•Identify missing invoices and work with vendors to obtain missing invoices for processing.
•Work with vendors to ensure that customer service is not disconnected due to non-payment of service
•Enter and process adjusting entries. Prepare documentation associated with these entries
•Create monthly variance report and deliver to customer and/or account manager
•Identify, research, and resolve invoice exceptions that prevent an invoice from processing for payment.
•Research inventory removal dates and work with customers and customers’ vendors
•Resolve inventory issues; add, delete or modify customer inventory elements (telecommunication). This includes adding, deleting or modifying customer GL coding associated with customer inventory elements.
•Identify savings and prepare savings report for delivery to customer and/or account manager. This requires a detailed understanding of customers’ vendor contracts
•Work with customer and customers’ vendors to actualize identified savings
•Work with customer and customers’ vendors on disputed billing charges
•Perform past due research on customer accounts and work with customers and customers’ vendors to reconcile past due amounts
•Work with customers and customers’ vendors to consolidate accounts
•Perform late fee analysis and prepare late fee report for delivery to customer and/or account manager. Identify reasons for late fees and develop plans to resolve.
•Properly represent Vercuity to our customers and to their vendors
•Maintain behavior consistent with policies, procedures and ethics of Vercuity
•Enhance knowledge and stay abreast of telecommunication industry changes and how it affects customer transactions.
•Other duties as identified by the senior telecommunication analyst and/or operations manager


QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate should have:
•Basic accounting knowledge
•Strong research and auditing skills
•Strong customer relations skills
•Strong telephone skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Strong planning and organization skills; able to multi-task continuously
•Strong analytical skills used for troubleshooting and problem solving; detailed oriented
•Able to document issues, prioritize and follow-up
•Ability to read and follow directions and procedures
•Self-motivated with a positive attitude
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products – EXCEL a must
•Basic knowledge of windows environment
•Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
•Experience with most common software applications
•Telecommunication knowledge (especially billing and/or contracts) desired, but not required
