Charlotte Yates - Vice-Chairman
Charlotte Yates, the co-founder of Telwares, is regarded as a pioneer and leader in the telecommunications and technology services industry. An innovator with over 20 years of experience, Charlotte is an internationally renowned thought innovator, author, spokesperson and entrepreneur.Before becoming Vice Chairman, Charlotte was CEO, COO. Through her leadership, Telwares' has been recognized as a leading provider of consulting services to the Global 2000. Prior to that, Charlotte served in multiple executive positions at Sprint and IBM focusing on executive consulting, information technology outsourcing, carrier contract negotiations, corporate cost reduction management, re-engineering and strategic partnerships.
Considered one of the most influential people in the technology & telecommunications services industry, Charlotte is founder of the CIO Global Forum, the international ‘think tank’ headquartered in San Francisco. The CIO Global Forum meets twice yearly to review current technology and telecommunications industry trends and critical business topics for the CIO.
Charlotte is also a Young President's Organization member. YPO is dedicated to enabling and promoting the difference that Presidents and CEOs can make in the world at large. Many of today’s initiatives that YPO spearheads are fostering peace and prosperity in areas of conflict and need around the world. Charlotte also actively supports civic, charitable and educational organizations; and is the sponsor of five children through Plan International. She is also a lifetime contributor to fund-raisers that support cancer research and treatment; and is a member of the Donor’s Circle at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Charlotte has been a featured speaker, moderator and panelist for many industry events. Most recently, she has spoken at the 2007 YPO day on The Changing Face of Telecommunications and Media with Dick Parsons, Craig DuBow and Jimmy Dolan. Also, she has moderated and spoken at the CIO Global Forums' conferences in Dallas, Portsmouth NH, Chicago, and Napa Valley; CEO conferences in New York including on how to optimize market changes, and a featured speaker at the private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe’s annual portfolio conference along with Newt Gingrich and other speakers.
