Sam Bloomfield, SVP, Customer Contact Solutions
Sam has over 15 years of professional services, direct marketing agency, and contact center experience and is responsible for developing and leading Telwares’ new practice area in contact center/live channel consulting. Before Telwares, Sam had been responsible for building and leading ClientLogic’s (now Sitel) Professional Services practice, an independent contact center consultancy focused on channel strategy and performance improvement. At ClientLogic, Sam also served as SVP, Relationship Management for the insurance vertical; and was SVP, Global Client Solutions, responsible for developing and expanding relationships through CRM consultative solutions with insurance and financial service clients.

At Digitas - a leading direct marketing and digital agency - for 7 years, Sam was responsible for managing the day-to-day "agency of record “relationship with Allstate Insurance. This comprehensive engagement ranged from all direct marketing work, to internet strategy and execution as well as CRM design and development, consulting and execution. Before managing the Allstate account, Sam had primary responsibility at Digitas for developing and managing the call center consulting practice and related new business development. Sam led multiple client engagements in the areas of infrastructure optimization and in-market program management.

At Age Wave Impact for two years, a full service direct marketing agency start-up specializing in insurance, healthcare, and financial services, Sam served as Vice President, Business Development, succeeding his role as Vice President, Client Services. He was responsible for acquiring, managing and developing contact center related client relationships, and implementing successful client programs.

Sam has been a featured speaker at the Eye on Travel conference, American Teleservices Association, New England DMA and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association call center conference. He has also contributed articles to industry publications including Call Center Times, CIO Today, CRM Today, the DMA Newsletter, Multichannel Merchant, RIS News, and World Trade Magazine.

Sam has an M.B.A. in Planning and Marketing from Northeastern University, and an A.B. with Honors in English from Harvard University.

Joe Pickel, VP, Client Services
Joe leads the Telwares team in all client facing operational matters as they pertain to the Telwares' managed service offerings.

Mr. Pickel’s notable achievements come from a balance of executing business plans and adapting business strategy to meet a constantly changing technology environment.  He brings to Telwares 25 years of sales, strategy and management experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President — Corporate Operations for Westcom, Inc.

Previous to his position at Westcom, Mr. Pickel held the executive management position of Chief Operating Officer at HyperFeed, Inc. a public company offering ultra low latency direct exchange market data feeds for financial service industry.  He has also held senior positions at Global Crossing, IXNet-IPC, as well as being a founder and the President of Applied Data Solutions / ComputerLand a 40 million dollar system integrator. His expertise in fiscal strategy and execution has been instrumental in leading companies through transition periods and expansion programs, and his tactical operations background has helped forge lucrative, long-term business relationships.

Joseph Pickel attended Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, and is certified in all major network technologies, operating systems, and hardware platforms.

Erkan Belek, VP, Consulting Services, EMEA & Asia Pacific
As Vice President, Consulting Services, EMEA & Asia Pacific, Erkan is responsible for delivering customized consulting services and solutions for enterprises across the two regions. Telwares’ solutions assist enterprises in navigating the risks and opportunities associated with today’s telecommunications industry, and include driving bottom line telecom expense savings, evaluating and implementing new technologies, and optimizing investments in network infrastructure.

Prior to joining Telwares, Mr. Belek held the position of Vice President International TC & Partner Sales at T Systems International (Deutsche Telekom) where he was responsible for driving international growth. In his nine years in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Belek has held sales positions with T Systems Belgium, BT Global Services, and Cable & Wireless.

Mr. Belek is based in Belgium, and is fluent in Dutch, French, German, English and Turkish.
